I have had a string of sessions on people's properties this fall, and I LOVE it! There is something extra special about photographing a family in their native environment; a comfort and a knowledge of the land that is so different from meeting elsewhere. This extended family session was no different. We met at the house that 2 sons grew up in, with their parents and wives and kids...it is quite beautiful, really. In a very park like backyard setting, we moved from area to area, talking about the trees and their history and where and when which generation was able to play. It is so clear that this is a tightly knit family that really values each other and their memories, and I just adore that. It is the type of thing to keep you warm on a cool fall day, and it is one of the things I adore about this job I have been blessed to do! Enjoy this BEAUTIFUL and fun family with some stunning scenery as fall began to approach!
Grandma and Grandpa and their grandbabies (not so babies anymore!) :)

One of the oldest trees in Macon County here...so majestic and beautiful.
