Shawn+Luke: Engaged | Engagement Photography Springfield IL

There is something about the color and brilliance of fall that has always seemed extra romantic to me, so I LOVE shooting engagement sessions in the fall! Shawn, Luke, and I shot in 2 of my favorite locations this season (a beautiful park and ANYWHERE with corn still left standing!), and I think it payed off amazingly--I am completely in love with these images! I know you will love them too! Shawn and Luke have been together a very long time, and there is such a familiarity about them together- they can predict with the other will do and say, and are SO comfortable together. Shawn is vibrant and charismatic and beautiful and lively, and Luke is a bit more reserved, calm, steady. They balance each other perfectly... And I must admit, these couples that have a bit of the opposites attract thing going really touch my heart- because Michael and I are very much that way. Shawn arrived a few minutes after Luke and I, looking FABULOUS with just about the best hair I had ever seen, and I just knew things were going to go PERFECTLY! They are so interactive together and just so EASY to photograph showing passion and love--because they have so much of it for each other. I can't WAIT any longer to share these--meet Shawn and Luke!!

I'm pretty sure it was sometime around here that I was photographing the stellar ring, and Luke and Shawn were being playful and adorable, and he picked her up and something went amiss and she actually got a BRUISED RIB from it (according to the ER trip later in the night)!!  And yet, she put that beautiful smile back on and continued right on through- THAT is dedication to the cause!  


And introducing their beloved pup, Jake!!  These just melt my heart a bit!
