Sometimes I struggle to write blog posts about the fantastic people I have the honor of photographing...not because there isn't enough to say but because there is so very much, and this young lady is one of those! Taylor is one of my beloved seniors at school this year, and one that I have watched grow up for a fair amount of years at this point. Being highly involved in the fine arts program, and having worked with her sister when she was just a little 3rd grade adorable munchkin in the Wizard of Oz, I have known Taylor's family since then, and they have been a significant part of my program and life as a result. There are many qualities I adore about Taylor: she is hardworking, talented, sweet, warm, intelligent, loves music...but the thing I might like the most is that she is a bit of a surprise. When you meet her or see her from afar, you assume that she is a quiet beauty, maybe a little serious, and introverted. As you get to know her, you learn that she has a HUGE silly side, isn't really so shy at all, and has a lot of fire in her when needed- and that is the Taylor I love. The one that is fiercely loyal to her friends, and fights endlessly for what she wants, and lights up the stage. She is so goofy and bubbly and smiley, and it is infectious! Meet Taylor.
Did I mention that she is a PERFECT model?? She has so many expressions that come with ease.
Taylor, you are beautiful!!
Her wonderful family came with, and I had so much fun capturing her with these people that she loves, which is my FAVORITE part of senior sessions.
I LOVE all of these...Taylor the dancer.
And Taylor the musician.
Taylor and her sister are very close, and it is beautiful to see...I can't wait to work with them both together this spring when I return from maternity leave!
We had to grab a quick image together...I am thankful to her sister for doing this for us!
And I leave you with my favorite image of the day. It renders Taylor in such a perfect way, and her expression speaks loudly. I know there is SO MUCH good and beauty coming to Taylor in her future. She has made lots of sweet memories in life, and I love knowing, from experience, that it only gets better from here. Something in her expression says she is ready to go and capture it all. I can't wait to witness it!
