I had the most wonderful session last weekend back at home with a family that I have known for a long long time. It resulted in a huge amount of lovely pictures because it was essentially a super-session with 3 sessions in one: Family, Couples, and Sisters. The B family consists of the 2 lovely parents and 2 beautiful daughters- the L part of the deal is for the oldest daughter and her husband. Erika, the oldest daughter, has been a dear friend of mine for more than 10 years, and I have known both her family, and her husband John, for most of that time. It is so special to take photos of a family that I have known so well for so long, and to be able to spend that sort of time with them!
I am going to start with the full group...don't they look fun?!?
Linda and Jeff, the mom and dad of this group, have been a part of my life for the last 10 years also and have always been so kind, supportive, and welcoming of their girl's friends into their home. It was very fun to capture a mature love like theirs in a few sweet pictures.
Next up: Sisters. I didn't have the honor of having a sister growing up, but did have a lot of close girlfriends that were like sisters to me, and Erika was one of them. Her and her lovely sister Dana are different in many ways: one a bit more serious and one a bit more playful, one a bit more logical and another a bit more emotional, one blonde and one brunette. :) But they have always been close, and it has been so fun to watch their relationship grow and change over the years also.
Hello, gorgeous girls!
I took a little time to catch a couple of Dana alone. Dana, you are beautiful!
And saving the other couple for last, Erika and John. Erika and I have been through a lot of years of fun, laughter, and life changes together. We had this core group of girlfriends in high school that spent a lot of time together, and saw each other through all of the typical girl drama! One of the things I love about Erika is that she has married her high school love, John. They dated for a long time in HS, and after a brief stint apart in college, found their way back into each others lives, and realized they had never stopped loving each other. It was beautiful to watch, and these two have developed a love story that has truly stood the test of time. I have loved knowing them individually and fully believe they are best together, and can't wait to continue to witness their love in the future. Meet Erika and John, the "L" part of the family:
Erika, you are stunning! I cherish your friendship more than I can possibly tell you, and am so grateful that you will always be in my life!
I love this set- it really shows them as they are.
B/L Family, thank you again for this wonderful experience! I hope you can enjoy having these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them!
