Favorites of 2014: Engagements

Hand in hand with my favorite weddings, I love sharing my favorite from my engagement sessions! I am going to share much more on my thoughts about these so-important sessions soon, but for now I will say that I absolutely adore engagement sessions and think EVERY engaged couple deserves and should have one with their wedding photographer! They carry so many benefits into the wedding day but MUCH more importantly, they offer tangible memories in the form of images of one of the most exciting and monumental times in a person's life- and they offer such REALITY. I love a wedding dress and heels as much as anyone- but you look like that ONE time in your life! I love how the engagement session shows couples as they are EVERY day...it is just such a beautiful thing! I have gotten to shoot at such fun locations this year as well, and I love it that we can always control the time of day and therefore the lighting (often wedding portraits are shot at less than ideal times, and rarely with sunset!).
