Katie: Senior Photography| Tallula/Petersburg
I admit, I was one of those lucky people...those really really lucky people who married into a family that I truly love and enjoy immensely. I believe that everyone does love their "in-laws', but I have heard such horror stories...especially about those crazy mother-in-laws. But I married into this wonderful, large, bustling family and gained 2 amazing and loving parents (and a completely perfect mother in-law), 4 entertaining and lovable siblings, some wonderful spouses of those siblings that have given me the sisters I never had, and fantastic nieces and nephews, making me an aunt for the first time. I don't even consider them "in-laws", just my family. And of course, I got my Michael out of the deal...how blessed am I to have gotten him?? Endlessly.
Anyways, as I'm sure you have figured out, I got to do a senior session this past weekend with my oldest niece, Katie. She will be a senior next year, and while I only met her when she was in 7th grade, I still cannot BELIEVE that she is ready to graduate soon. Meet Katie:
This beautiful, silly, sweet, kindhearted girl is so many things, but one of my favorites is how she is both a farm-girl, and a bit of a girly girl all at once! As we can see by her darling outfit...
She isn't afraid to get messy, climb on anything and everything I asked her to for pictures, lead me through some country brush to get to great destinations...I'm sure if we go back out in the summer or fall she will climb some trees for me, probably still in a dress...she's pretty incredible. :)
We had the most beautiful evening to take pictures, with dreamy golden light as sunset came. We mostly took pictures at Gum Farm. It is really neat to get to take pictures of a girl on the farm she grew up on. The face of the farm has had to change a bit over the years and I know that we will be grateful for these memories of Katie on her farm as it continues to do so.
Katie is standing in front of her Grandma's house here, a house that has been vacant for a long time, but that Mike has many descriptive memories in. And of course, a bit more entertainingly, with her dad's new semi that he is quite proud of!
I am so very fond of Katie for a million reasons, and know her family is so proud of her and blessed to have her. And my little boy agrees- I'm not sure he adores anyone more than her! Here is much more of our stunning Katie:
Katie, you're incredibly lovely and I cannot wait to head out in a few months and take some more! Love you always!
