Personal: Washington DC trip (heading home)

On our final leg of the trip, we spent a glorious 36 hours with some of Mike's lovely cousins in Virginia.  They have a little girl just 10 weeks older than EJ, who is so sweet, absolutely adorable, and so talkative!  They had a ball just following each other around and taking toys from each other (ha!).  We had a wonderful time catching up with family, and it was so fun to see the babies together.  Meet sweet Addison!

And of course, some outside playtime. photo DCBP_0460.jpg
On the way home, we took the scenic (and long but so worth it!) route through Shenandoah National Park.  We have a dream of traveling to all the National Parks in our lifetime, so we were so excited to get to view this one.  We didn't get much time to get out and explore, but did take in some beautiful scenery.

Doesn't E look thrilled??  photo DCBP_0454.jpg

We also stopped at the Natural Bridge in Virginia (and drove over it while lost trying to find it!).  It was a beautiful location for an afternoon hike and lunch and some nice pictures.

We drove a few more hours after this stop, stopped for the night, and had a long day of driving the next day before arriving home.  We very much enjoyed our drive through both Virginia and West Virginia, which only reignited our desire to live in the mountains someday!  We had a wonderful trip and are so grateful for the fun and memories (and E's new-found car riding skills). Thanks for taking the "tour" with us! :)
